I choose this podcast because you listen my pronunciation. This podcast, it did me and Claudia in the second therm. In really this isn’t best podcast, but how I lost the others oral presentation and podcast, for this I choose this podcast. The make that this work is the best is my pronunciation and the effort.

I choose this writing because this is the document that more I reflected on the life and the racism. This document is about a film, that I saw and I learned that if you propose an objective you have been to strive effort with all your strength. In my opinion this is my best written because I express my feelings and the structure of writing is well.

My English progress from 2008-2010

My first writing in first of batxillerat was very short with a lot of spelling mistakes and bad construction. Personally I think in ESO, I didn’t know any English, when I started first of batxillerat I started going to English classes and I started getting to know English better. At the beginning I found if a writing and consequently in the first exams I got a 2 or 3, but later I started getting better marks. Now I write with easily and with only some mistakes, I also use connectors and I can construct sentences better.

In conclusion I have learned to write quite well in two years thanks to the writing in blogs. Now my writing is very different from last year, now it is much better.

In the presentation oral of first batxillerat I was very bad at everything, in content, structure, presentation and pronunciation. When I see a video of last year I think that I am not this boy, I am ashamed of this presentation because my pronunciation is 0. Comparing this oral pronunciation of last year it was a 0!

But I have to say that although I have improved pronunciation, probably my pronunciation is bad because I practice very little. My objective this summer is to improve my pronunciation! With reference to the structure, content and shyness I have improved a lot, at the beginning I was very shy exposing my topic in front of the class, but finally I was able to control my nerves and shyness.

In conclusion my oral presentation is better compared to last year, but I must to improve my pronunciation. If I had to choose I think I have made more progress with writing.

Dialogue with a farmer.

When day in the morning, I go to visit my grandfather, he is a farmer. When I arrive in your house I said:
David: Hello, grandfather.
Grandfather: Hi, how are you?
D: very well and you?
G: Also, but today I will have very work.
D: What?
G: Yes, you help me a work in the field.
D: Ok, but I never work in field.
G: No problem, I teach you, this is very easy.
D: Sure?
G: Yes, today we will go a field of apples, we will plantig the apples. This activity consist with planting a seed in 1 meter.
D: A ok, this activity is easy.
G: Yes, but when you are four hours is more difficult and tired.

Four weddings and a funeral

1. Can you summarize the book in two minutes?

The book is about the adventures of a group of friends. The character of, a single, elegant young man, who is in love with Carrie, an attractive American, whom Charles repeatedly meets at weddings and at a funeral. There are four weddings and one funeral.

The first wedding is that of Angus and Laura. At this wedding, Charles meets Carrie for the first time and spends the night with her, but he regards it as a one-night stand. She then goes back home to America, observing that they may have missed an opportunity.

The second wedding is that of Bernard and Lydia, a couple who got together at the previous wedding. The reception is not an enjoyable one for Charles. First, he meets Carrie, who introduces Charles to her fiancé, Sir Hamish Banks, a wealthy politician from Scotland. Charles and Carrie end up spending the night together again.

Charles receives an invitation to Carrie's wedding in Scotland; while shopping for a present he accidentally bumps into her in a shop and ends up helping choose her wedding dress.

He later tries to confess his love to her and hints that if her marriage is unsuccessful, he would like to have a relationship with her. However, he says it rather lamely, obviously too late.

The third wedding is that of Carrie and Hamish at a Scottish castle. Charles attends, depressed at the prospect of Carrie marrying Hamish. Charles watches Carrie and Hamish dance as husband and wife, he reveals his feelings about Carrie to his friend Fiona, who confesses that she has always loved Charles since they first met years ago.

Charles is surprised, but does not refuse her love. At the wedding Matthew's lover, Gareth, dies suddenly of a heart attack.

The funeral is that of Gareth.

The fourth wedding is that of Charles, who has decided to marry Henrietta out of desperation. However, moments before the ceremony, Carrie arrives at the church and reveals to Charles that she and Hamish are no longer together. Charles has a crisis of confidence, which he reveals to his deaf brother David .

At the altar, when the vicar asks if anyone knows a reason why the couple should not marry, David signals to Charles in sign language not to make the mistake of marrying somebody he doesn't love. Charles says no. Henrietta punches Charles and the wedding is stopped.

In the end, Carrie visits Charles. Charles makes a proposal of life-long-commitment out of wedlock to Carrie and responds by saying 'I do'.

2. Is there a mystery sentence or a turning point in the story?

Yes, in the fourth wedding between Charles and Henrietta, Charles’brother, David says with sign language that Charles translate in a loud voice: I suspect that the groom is having doubts.

3. When and where does the story take place?

In Scotland in nineties.

4. Who are the main characters in the story? What’s their role?

The role of Charles, is an attractive unmarried man who has had a lot of different Girlfriends. But he really loves Carrie.

And the role of Carrie is a girl that live the life because She has had a lot of boyfriends, when she was young and now she married to Hamish, and then separated and in the end she accepts a life-long-commitment with Charles.

5. Choose one character (main or secondary) and describe him/her.

Charles is a good looking, unmarried man, who always disheveled, badly dressed and with in a hurry because he always arrives late, one example of being badly dressed is the day of the wedding, without a tie and his trousers zip undone. He is also very absent-minded, because at the first wedding, he left the ring at home.

6. Can you identify with any character? Why?

Yes, with the the main charater Charles, because I am very ansent-minded, because I never remember where my things are or where I have left my books, for example this week I lost my notebook.

7. Choose your favourite moment in the story

At the second wedding, when to the priest speaks the bride and groom to repeat the wodrs after him. I Bernard Delaney – says Father Gerald “Do take you, Lydia Jane Hibbot, to be my awful wedded wife”. I can not imagine this situation because it would be very funny that a priest said the wrong words at the wedding.

The other ending would be that Charles got married to Henrietta, but if you change the ending of the book it will be very bad, because the mains characters don’t get married.

10. Would you recommend this book? Why?

Yes, because this book is very funny, it is easy to read, it isn’t too long and to end it is very entertaining because you never know what is going to happen.

Flaix FM

Today, I talk about my favourite radio station; FlaixFM (99.6). It is a Catalan station created in 1992 by a French man, who wanted to discover dance music at this country. At FlaixFM, you can listen all styles of music related to electronic (House, Trance -not a lot-, Dance, Techno, Electro...), so it is a station that young people like very much. Nowadays, over 350.000 people listen to this frequence, so it is the 3th more listened in Catalunya. The most important program in it is called Calibre45, in which they create a list with the 45 more important songs in the moment, with new entries, 6 good songs called "Cracs de la setmana", 1 song that will be very important called "Megacrac" and the most important of the week, the Number 1. Every week the list changes and there are new songs and songs that "disappear". Today is Saturday, so this afternoon the list will change and my prediction is that the Number 1 will be "On The Floor", by Jennifer Lopez & Pitbull; and the Megacrac will be "Hollywood Tonight (Chuckie rmx)", by Michael Jackson .

In my opinion that's my favourite radio station and I recommend you to listen.

Dani Pedrosa wins GP Estoril Portugal 2011 and stops the domination of Jorge Lorenzo in the Estoril Portugal Moto GP Grand Prix

Dani Pedrosa won in Estoril Portugal Moto GP Series although it wasn't easy. Dani Pedrosa had to struggle hard to beat Jorge Lorenzo who started from the pole position and led almost all the GP Estoril Portugal race.

Dani Pedrosa started from the third position and always ran behind Jorge Lorenzo in the GP Estoril Portugal series 2011. Finally and in the 21st lap, Dani Pedrosa takes overtook Jorge Lorenzo who was in the first position and finished 25th lap first. Finally, Dani Pedrosa won the GP Estoril Portugal series 2011.

The final result GP Estoril Portugal was Dani Pedrosa in first position and then Jorge Lorenzo in second position. The third place was for by Casey Stoner.

I chose this news because I am a fan of Lorenzo and I love speed and motorbikes. In this race I obviously, wanted Lorenzo to win, but Dani Pedrosa over took Jorge Lorenz and Dani was first and Lorenzo was second.
Lorenzo is a young man, he is 23 years old and he is from Palma. He is the youngest pilot of Moto GP, only being is in 2002. The results of the last years are:

The limit of 110 kilometers per hour has been permitted to save about 95 milion euros

In total of 94.2 million and a decrease of 7.9% in fuel consumption is according to the Spanish government what has been saved in a month with the limit of 110 km/h speed limit. According to the Minister of Industry, Miguel Sebastian, the savings is a lot higher than estimated and if a tendency is consolidated, it will allow a saving of 1.150 million. The minister however admitted that the rising price of fuel has also influenced the drop in consumption. In fact, the consumption data for March id the lowest since 2003, and contrast with the increase of 1.2 which was recorded in January.

In my opinion this news is very good, because it is a little positive. This law is correct because this limit of 110km/h has reduced the number of deaths on the road and has decreased the consumption of fuel, but also the rising price of fuel has influenced the consumption fuel.

However, in my opinion 110km/h is very slow, because you take a long time to get to your destination.

The board of F.C. Barcelona will have a special board meeting this afternoon.

President of F.C. Barcelona, Sandro Rosell, has called an extraordinary meeting of the board this afternoon at 17.00h, to discuss actions to be undertaken after the events occurred yesterday to mark the first leg of semifinal of the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu. The coach of Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho made strong acusations saying about Barça’s team had been helped. He wondered whether the publicity of UNICEF or the power to Villar UEFA have nothing to do with it, but add that Guardiola has won the Champions League thanks to the scandal at Stamford Bridge and can win the champions thanks to the scandal at Bernabeu.

As announced by the club, the meeting will begin at 17.00pm, there will be a proposal by the club president, Sandro Rosell. Later, the club will announce its decision at a press conference scheduled for 19:00pm.

The directive of Barcelona is very annoyed after Mourinho defeat last night in the first leg semifinals of the Champions League (0-2) because of the refereeing and the comments of Mourinho.

In my opinion the F.C. Barcelona should report a Jose Mourinho, because he criticized the refeeres, the UEFA and more teams and especially F.C. Barcelona. He said that Barça won because this team was helped by UEFA and referees. For example the match with Chelsea F.C. two years ago or the match yesterday.

For me and very people Jose Mourinho is a person who doesn’t know how to loss a match and for this reason He blames the referees and UEFA.

I chose this song I like although it is old and it not is very famous. This song has a meaning on love in its lyrics if you listen very carefully. Dear Mr John Ritch,

My name is David Mostazo, I am 17 years old, I study batxillerat in I.E.S Castelló d’Empúries and also I live in Castelló. I’m writing this letter, because I am worried about the problem of Japan and I want to ask you to come to Spain, because it is very dangerous in Japan because of radioactivity.

Also I want to ask you to close to Nuclear energy stations, because you have a lot of power in the different Nuclear Stations in the world and you can make it possible to create other cleaner ways of energy, for example the solar energy or hydraulic energy.

Personally, I hope this way of creating energy will change because it is more dangerous and it will pollute the world, but this is impossible because one person can not change the life of the planet because he can’t enough power but everybody on the planet has enough power to change the life of the planet.

Men of Honor

Today I'm going talk about a film, that I watched on tv yesterday . The name of the film is Men of honor, this film is about Carl Brashear decides to leave his lifestyle in his native Kentucky in 1948 and the life of a sharecropper by way of joining the United States Navy, where he is assigned to the galley.

He is determined to overcome racism and become the first African American Navy diver, even proclaiming that he will become a Master Diver. He finds that Master Chief Sunday is the Leading Chief Petty Officer and head instructor, who is under orders from the school's eccentric commanding officer to ensure that Brashear fails.

Unfortunately, due to the prevailing racism of the commanding officer, the student who fled in the face of danger is awarded a medal for Brashear's heroic actions.

The paths and careers of both Brashear and Sunday sharply diverge as Brashear rises quickly through the ranks, even becoming a national hero in recovering a missing atomic bomb and for saving the life of Navy crew, while the latter becomes a brooding alcoholic and is reduced in rank from Master Chief to Chief Petty Officer. The two eventually meet again after Brashear loses his left leg in the atomic bomb incident and must fight the US Navy bureaucracy in order to return to full active duty and fulfill his dream of becoming a master diver. They are successful and Brashear is reinstated.

For me this film is very important because its a gives a lesson of getting what you propose. For example Carl Brasher, who gets his dreams.
